Charles A. Pierce III, CEO
Charles A Pierce III is co-founder and CEO of WindRock Energy LLC. Prior to starting WindRock, Chuck worked in the global energy industry for 25 years with Chevron and Unocal.

Chuck began his career in the energy industry in 1984 at Unocal, where he held managerial positions with increasing responsibilities, including serving as Vice President of Unocal Alaska and an officer of Unocal Corporation. Upon Chevron’s acquisition of Unocal in 2005, Chuck was named Senior Vice President of Chevron’s Indonesia Deepwater Development operations.

During his career in the energy industry, Chuck worked in many locations and cultures. His assignments included senior management positions, project management, international business development, gas marketing, negotiations operations, and engineering . He lived in Houston, Bangkok, Cairo, The Hague, and Anchorage, and traveled extensively through South and Southeast Asia.

Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin graduating with highest honors in 1984. In 2004 he completed the Stanford Executive Program. Chuck served as President of the Board of Habitat for Humanity in Anchorage and currently serves on the Board of the Asia Society Texas Chapter. He resides in Houston with his wife and two children.
